Moderate Power Project
The Moderate Power Project (MPP) is Third Way’s bold initiative to champion moderate voices, empower the next generation of center-left leaders, and reclaim control of our politics. MPP’s five dynamic programs build muscle in the middle—to reinvigorate America’s vital center, defeat extremism, and offer the forward-looking ideas this country urgently needs.
Our Mission
The Moderate Power Project is building a megaphone for moderates. We amplify center-left views and voices to challenge the far left, defeat the MAGA right, and govern effectively from the middle.

The extremes have dominated our politics for too long, drowning out America's mainstream majority. The Moderate Power Project is how we push back. MPP is fighting for a politics rooted in curiosity, pragmatic problem-solving, and a deep belief in America’s promise. It gives moderates on the center left the platform and tools we need to reclaim our party, our country, and our future.
